Poetry Challenge 14: I Will Arise and Go Now

Since our several attempts have proved futile, I’ve decided to make like a hotel elevator and skip 13.

Our Poetry Challenge 14 has just opened up! Instead of hosting the challenges here on my personal blog, we’ll now be hosting them at our Academy of Inventive Literature forum. It’s hosted, in turn, by Google Groups and is called AcadLit General Forum. If you are not a member, I can easily invite you. Please email me at acadlit@gmail.com and I’ll send your invitation to join the forum post-haste.

Or simply follow this link to AcadLit General Forum and request membership.

If you are already a member, skip on over and take a look at the challenge. For the benefit of our new participants, we are starting with a classic First Line Challenge – the first line in this case being “I will arise and go now,” from W. B. Yeats’ poem The Lake Isle of Innisfree.

The challenge post involves some discussion on the topic of inspiration, which is something I’d love to see comments on.
